Khagyun has no political agenda, and neither elicits nor edits political content in these stories. They have mostly been told by elderly people who have been through great upheavals, and Khagyun cannot ensure the historical accuracy of every story. In any case, we are concerned at least as much with "story" as we are with "history".

Khagyun Volunteers

Tenzin Datse, 24, lives in Bylakuppe and works as a holistic therapist.  She was born in Byalkuppe.
Jampa Rinchen, 19 years old, is originally from Bomdila in Arunachal Pradesh in the Northeast of India, not far from the border with Tibet.  A monk, he is also a top student at Sera Je Secondary School in Bylakuppe, India.
Lobsang Tsultrim, 19 years old, is originally from Kham in Eastern Tibet.  He is now a monk, and is also a top student at Sera Je Secondary School in Bylakuppe, India.
Ügyen Tsering, who is 26 years old, works as a manufacturing supervisor in Bangalore, India.  He is originally from Dharamsala in Himachal Pradesh in the north of India.
Palden Choedak, 19 years old, is originally from Kham in Eastern Tibet.  He is also a leading student at Sera Je Secondary School in Byalkuppe, three hours east of Mysore in Southern India.
